| Bats represent almost 50% of the mammals in Costa Rica (113 species). We invite you to enjoy this adventure, discovering the wonders of this group.
The activity exists of a multimedia presentation of about 30 minutes regarding the natural history of bats, classification, diversity, adaptations, reproduction, threats and more. At the end of the presentation, a qualified guide will provide you with a safe opportunity to see the bats that were captured during the night up close. | |

Finally, you will visit the site where one of the nets, used to capture bats, is set up and the guide will explain the methods used for capturing, why the bats don't detect the nets, etc and the captured bats will be released.
This activity starts at 7:30pm and requires prior reservation. Recommended: camera, flashlight and insect repellent. |
